For the first time, a KKEV Cambodia student has qualified to study at a local university.

It would not have been possible for the young adult himself to finance these university studies. The total cost of tuition fees, study materials and a minimum of living expenses is about 80 times the monthly salary of a normal worker. KKEV Cambodia's budget covers the children's schooling and the teaching of practical skills. However, scholarships for university studies for outstanding students must be financed separately.

That's why a newly founded sister NGO in Switzerland, "Empowering Underprivileged Children" (EUC) collected money on a crowdfunding platform to enable the orphan to gain access to tertiary education.

“Empowering underprivileged children" (EUC), as well as "Kinderhilfe Kambodscha Aachen e.V.", has the primary goal of supporting "KKEV Cambodia" and raising the financial resources. So far, KKEV Cambodia has focused on providing the children with a caring environment and academic support so that they be successful in school, qualify for vocational training and ultimately find a job. The aim is for these children/young adults to stand on their own two feet and break the cycle of poverty.

We would like to thank all donors on behalf of the future student and of the two NGOs “Kinderhilfe Cambodia Aachen e.V.” and “Empowering Underprivileged Children”!
